+This Tibetan rug was woven in the late 20th century by Tibetan weavers in Nepal.
It features an asymmetric art nouveau pattern of anthropomorphic dancing flowers around a vast open field. The whole composition is rendered on a large scale with open space in a palette of dark pink, mauve gold, and a spectacular sky blue. Woven in the 1980s with tones and a feel that captures the era.
In very good condition. Densely woven with a meaty pile and a floppy handle. Some color patination.
