Product Details
+This runner was woven during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a large-scale repeat Herati design in various tones of blue, green, red, yellow, and ivory on a dark navy ground. With a main border of stepped octagons and fish-like serrated leaves that are surrounded by multiple minor borders of small boxes, floral meanders, button-like circles, and classic Qashqa'i diagonal stripes. Look closely to see the addition of various stylized birds and the addition of what is likely a dog in a section of the main border (as pictured). Wonderfully finished with extra embellishments like the candy cane selvedge and striped kilim edges. In rare, hard-to-find Qashqa'i runner format.
In very good condition, with minimal wear for its age. Medium pile with soft but hefty handle. The original kilims are still intact.
